cricket team.jpgZimbabwe will finally play host to the much anticipated triangular cricket series also comprising Sri-Lanka and India.

Zimbabwe cricket’s head of Media and Communications Shingai Rhuwaya confirmed that the triangular series which had been put on hold owing to delays by India in confirming their participation will begin on 26 May ending June 14.


Coming out from a disastrous 4-1 series loss to the West Indies, the Zimbabwe cricket team will hope to improve on it’s performances in the series which will feature some of cricket’s power houses Sri-Lanka and India.


The triangular series will provide a platform for newly appointed coach Allan Butcher to fully assess the Zimbabwean squad.


The English coach who was appointed barely a month ago is expected in the country on 1 April.
