simonkhayamoyo.jpgZANU-PF National Chairman, Cde Simon Khaya Moyo, says his party is on the verge of making history at the December People’s Conference by coming up with resolutions that shall see the country’s economy in the hands of the indigenous people, thereby becoming the first nation to achieve total independence on the continent.

Addressing delegates and party supporters who converged at a city hotel to participate at the ZANU-PF party National Conference fundraising dinner, Cde Khaya Moyo said it is time Zimbabweans enjoyed full benefits of the driving force that guided the liberation struggle, emphasising that the party is geared to make this dream a reality, come the conference.

“We didn’t fight for the flag neither did we just fight for the national anthem. Now that we have the land, it is time we put the economy to its rightful owners. This conference will turn a new page to the lives of every Zimbabweans,” he said.
To curb abuse and corruption in accumulating wealth by ZANU-PF party members, a riot act will be read during the December conference as this is against the principles of the revolution.

“I want to assure you that the party is going to take a big stance against corruption. To those who think the nation will be a colony again, I say forget and smile. To those who are against the people of Zimbabwe, the exit door is clear,” said Cde Khaya Moyo.

The fundraising dinner saw a number of individuals and companies making pledges in form of money and material support with significant pledges coming from the Zimbabwe Entrepreneurs Youth Action which donated five herd of cattle and ZANU-PF politburo member Cde Dzikamai Mavhaire who donated US$1 000.

To spice up the occasion, Bob Nyabinde and the Mbare Chimurenga Choir of the ‘Ndikusetere Team fame’ provided entertainment.
