The bulk of ‘Team Zimbabwe’ athletes for the continental Maputo All Africa Games are now in camp putting the last touches to their preparations before departure next Wednesday.

SRC Public Relations Officer, Tirivashe Nheweyembwa confirmed most local athletes are in and shed light on the travelling arrangements for those training outside the country.

The All Africa Games will kick off on the 1st of September in the Mozambican capital where Zimbabwe will take part in 17 sporting disciplines out of the 20 that Maputo has the capacity to host.

The Masiyambumbi boxing brothers will open the show for Zimbabwe on the 1st of September before the basketball women team faces the hosts on the 2nd of September.
