cleanup campaign.jpgThe Zimbabwean team due to take part in the inaugural Youth Olympic Games in Singapore, conducted a cleanup exercise in Harare’s central business district to underline the importance of the environment as the 3rd pillar of olympism.

The chef-de-mission to the Youth Olympic Games, Sibusisiwe Chindove said the cleanup by the Zimbabwean team was to emphasize that sport and the environment are deeply interlinked and therefore need to be addressed jointly.

The inaugural edition of the Youth Olympics Games will be held in Singapore from the 14th to the 26th of this month, and the Zimbabwe team is expected to depart for the Asian country on Monday morning.
