South Korea and North Korea will on the 27th of this month hold a summit aimed at mending their thawed relations ahead of a scheduled US and North Korea meeting.
This emerged as the South Korean ambassador to Zimbabwe Cho Jaichel paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of the National Assembly Advocate Jacob Mudenda this Tuesday morning where the formation of a joint parliament organisation was also agreed on.
The South Korean ambassador to Zimbabwe Ambassador Cho Jaichel told journalists that his country is in the process of engaging North Korea to mend ties with a special summit slated for the 27th of April.
After the closed door deliberations, Advocate Mudenda emerged to reveal the two discussed on a number of issues among them an exchange programme and the formation of the Zimbabwe-South Korean Parliament Association where the country can learn best practices from the Asian country which has an advanced system.
The two also shared notes on the prospects for cementing economic ties in spheres including tourism, industry and commerce.
