The Zimbabwe Sevens rugby team has vowed to finish in the top three of the second tier division of the Hong Kong Sevens tournament which begins this Friday.
With a lifetime opportunity of becoming a core team on the International Rugby Board Sevens Circuit on the horizon, the Zimbabwe Sevens rugby team is positive of ending among the top 3 teams in the second tier division of the Hong Kong Sevens Tournament which is set to explode into life this Friday.
Speaking in a telephone interview team manager Bruce Hobson praised the organising committee for the warm reception which his delegation received in Hong Kong adding that the team is focused on ensuring they finish among the top three teams that will be embraced as core sides in next yearâ€™s IRB circuit.
The Zim Sevens rugby team was placed in Pool E together with Spain, Canada and Philippines.
Despite losing to Spain in the last edition of the Hong Kong Sevens tournament, the Cheetahs will be hoping to inflict revenge on Spain.
Zimbabwe will also be aiming to beat Canada who are strong while the Philippines are expected to be the whipping boys.
