Zimbabwe and Mozambique are seeking ways to strengthen economic ties in a move set to see trade volumes between the two countries increasing.
Cordial relations that saw Mozambique extending a helping hand to Zimbabwe during the liberation struggle are set for a boost, with Zimbabwe keen to explore business linkages.
Briefing journalists after a closed door meeting with Manica Province Governor Cde Alberto Ricardo Mondlane, Manicaland Minister of State for Provincial Affairs Cde Monica Mutsvangwa noted that there are many areas of cooperation that can be explored between the two countries.
Members of the business community who were part of the delegation were happy, noting that this will open up more opportunities in various sectors.
Cde Mutsvangwa’s visit to Mozambique comes hot on the heels of President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s visit where he briefed his Mozambican counterpart, Cde Philipe Nyusi on developments in Zimbabwe
