American gospel musician and minister, Donnie McClurkin, who was in the country for a concert, expressed appreciation that Zimbabwe is a warm country with receptive people, contrary to what is portrayed by the western media.
Thousands of gospel music lovers converged at the Glamis Arena in Harare on Saturday for the â€˜Call to Worshipâ€™ concert by American gospel musician, Donnie Mc Clurkin and a number of local artists.
Speaking just after the concert, Mc Clurkin expressed an appreciation of the countryâ€™s hospitality, saying it is just awesome.
â€œThe countrymen are warm contrary to what the western media portrays about Zimbabweâ€™s situation,â€ Mc Clurkin.
The musician, who has over 10 awards under his belt internationally, said the show which was his first in the country was also a platform for him to assess local gospel musicians whom he is going to consider for future collaborations.
The concert was supported by acts from Pastor Bonnie Deuschle and Celebration choir, UFI choir, Shower Power, Call to Worship choir, Covenant Praise and Sebastian Magacha.
