The 2018 Youth Summit on Sustainable Development Goals ended in Accra, Ghana with Zimbabwe representatives giving thumbs up to the agenda for action and harnessing cutting edge scientific technological and digital innovations
Five youths from Zimbabwe’s tertiary institutions represented the country at the just-ended summit, which was anchored on four pillars: peer learning, circle of network, partnerships and international SDGs solidarity.
“The summit was a great platform for effective collaborations and networking among young people, national governments and organisations from across Africa,” Chinhoyi University of Technology student, Delight Bumhira said.
The platform identified and recognised organisations that promoted active youth participation in the SDGs implementation.
Running under the theme: ‘Moving from Policy to Action,’ the Youth Summit created a number of business networks.
