Zimbabwe’s tourism industry will end of this month hold an inaugural Culinary Fusion Expo aimed at promoting the quality of food and facilities within the industry.
The tourism industry plays an important role to the extent that stakeholders within the sector have embraced policies to enhance the quality of food with the inaugural Culinary Fusion Expo set for month end being considered important to the growth of the industry.
Zimbabwe Chefs Association president Mr Christopher Gonzo said at a media briefing in the capital the expo will uplift the standards of the industry in term of the value chain that includes hotels, restaurants, tourists, students and the business community among others.
“Everything is being done to ensure success and we anticipate better opportunities,” he said.
The expo which will be held under the theme, “Celebrating Culinary Diversity” seeks to position the hospitality and tourism industry as strategic revenue earners for the economy.
