Zimbabwe cricket team head coach, Allan Butcher is optimistic of Zimbabwe’s chances of upsetting Bangladesh, despite succumbing to a 2-nil defeat to Australia “A†in 4-day encounters that ended recently.
Despite recent losses to Australia “A†in two 4-day encounters, Butcher is not reading much into the defeats.
Led by captain Brendan Taylor, Zimbabwe went on with business at Harare Sports Club on Thursday afternoon with Butcher expressing optimism that his charges will overcome a Bangladesh side that is expected in the country on Thursday evening.
Having tried out different batting combinations, some below par performances with the bat have been a major cause for concern.
Butcher however says focus should be on the positives, which he says his team should build from.
The Zimbabwe cricket team is set to clash with Bangladesh in a 3-day warm up encounter beginning on the 30th of this month.

Zimbabwe and Bangladesh will then meet in 5 one-day encounters.
The return of Tatenda Taibu who was out with a thumb injury coupled with the presence of senior players such as Hamilton Masakadza and Raymond Price is expected to initiate an upset against the Tigers.
