Zimbabwe ‘A’ beat visiting Canada by 78 runs in the second match at Harare Sports Club on Thursday (today) to clinch the series two nil with the third and final match now a dead-rubber still to play.
Zimbabwe clinched the limited over series with a match still to play tomorrow.
Zimbabwe won the toss and chose to bat with Sean Williams starting with the bat on an unbeaten 114 that included 14 fours.
Zimbabwe’s top order all finished in double figures, Solomon Mire hit 22, Chamu Chibhabha 35 that included seven fours, Sikander Raza butt 47 that included five fours, Peter J Moor 20 that included a six and Malcolm Waller 23.
Zimbabwe tail ender ’s Graeme Cremer, Wellington Masakadza, Donald Tiripano and Tendai Chatara did not bat.
Canada’s bowlers Marc Montfort and Saad Ben Zafar took two wickets each and Junnaid Siddiqui one wicket.
Canada’s Navneel s Dhaliwal top scored with 39, followed by captain Hamza Tariq on 35, Varun Sedhev 30, Durant Soraine 19 and Saad Ben Zafar 18.

The Canadian lot by wickets in the first match and beat a high performance centre side made up mostly of U19 players by 71 runs in a warm up match at Takashinga in Highfield suburb.
The three one-day match series is being played at Harare Sports Club and the final match is on Friday.
Canada last toured Zimbabwe in January 2015 for a 50 overs series which Zimbabwe won 3-1.
Zimbabwe is scheduled to tour the Netherlands and Sri Lanka mid next month.
