Set to be guided by head coach Allan Butcher on his first tour since being unveiled as the new national team coach, Zimbabwe will be looking to brush aside West Indies “A” in a four one-day game which begins on Friday.

Hamilton Masakadza who has been in splendid form in the domestic league is expected to play a key role in Zimbabwe’s tour of the West Indies which begins with a four day game.

Zimbabwe’s tour of the West Indies which comes a few weeks before the commencement of the T-20 World Cup to be hosted by the same country later this month, presents the tourists with an ideal platform to acclimatize to conditions in the Carribean islands. Zimbabwe and West Indies “A” are also set to also clash in two T-20 encounters next week.

The two twenty over games penciled for the next week should give Zimbabwe adequate warm up ahead of it’s two opening T-20 world cup ties against Australia and the tournament’s defending champions Pakistan, on the 27th and 29th of this month.
