The Zimbabwe chess organisers have intensified preparations for the forthcoming Africa Youth Championships to be held in Lusaka Zambia in December with the national chess team set for a clash with the Glen Norah Knights chess club.

The national chess squad will be looking at boosting their confidence ahead of their visit to Zambia.

Glen Norah Knights patron and coach, Mr John Chibvuri said his team will give the Zimbabwe outfit a good run as the team is composed of talented and competitive players.

Glen Norah Knights Chess Academy was formed in January this year and aims at nurturing talent at an early age.

The club is also set to instill discipline in children.

The Zimbabwe national chess club features players like Robert Gwaze, who was born and bred in Glen Norah.
