Zimbabwe has joined the rest of the world in commemorating the International Museums Day.
This year the day was commemorated at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Harare.
It was a day to remember especially for the students as they celebrated International Museums Day by showcasing song and dance performances.
Also on display were exhibitions portraying the traditional story of Zimbabwe.
This year’s event highlight a very special and specific theme, says Thandazani Dhlakama who is the curator for education and public programming at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe.
The International Museums Day provides the opportunity for museum professionals to meet the public and alert them on the challenges that museums face.
