The Zimbabwe Legends played a 2-2 draw with Barcelona Legends in an exhibition match at the giant National Sports Stadium this afternoon.

Two second half goals from Zenzo Moyo and Edward Sadomba were all that Zimbabwe Legends needed to cancel a Patrick Kluivert brace and restore honour.

Kluivert had thrust the Barca Legends into a first half lead, with Edgar Davids assisting on both occasions.

The Warriors Legends enjoyed a display of various substitutions among them Ronald ‘Gidiza’ Sibanda, Harlington Shereni and Johannes Ngodzo who brought an unmatched urgency for the hosts.

Moyo and Prophet Walter Magaya also made good contribution and in the end it was Sadomba who came to the Zimbabwe Legends rescue and levelled matters.

In a post match interview, Warriors Legends coach Sunday Chidzambwa said the game reminded him of the squad he coached at the Warriors maiden AFCON appearance in 2004.

Zimbabwe Legends captain, Peter Ndlovu hailed the initiative, giving a thumbs up to the football mother body ZIFA for staging such an initiative in an effort to market Brand Zimbabwe.

The Flying Elephant vowed to put the country first by attending future legends matches especially if they do not clash with work commitments.

It was a rare moment fans who were thrilled as they watched the retired footballers delivering their now fading skills.
