cricket team.jpgThe Zimbabwe cricket team whose woeful batting performance against Australia “A” saw them crumble to a 90 run defeat on Wednesday, will be hoping to bounce back in winning fashion when they lock horns with South Africa “A” at Harare Sports Club this Saturday.

The encounter will be a battle of wounded lions after South Africa “A” also lost to Australia by 60 runs on Thursday.

After watching his side throw away a commanding position having been at 90 for 1 against Australia, Allan Butcher is expected to make changes to the middle order as it appeared clueless in an innings where the hosts crumbled to 144 all out.

Despite the dismal showing by the middle and lower order, the top order is expected to remain intact with Hamilton Masakadza who top scored with 57, once again out to prove selectors why his presence may have added value to the World Cup squad.

Christopher Mpofu whose impressive figures of 3 for 31 helped restrict Australia “A” to 232 runs on Wednesday, is expected to once again lead Zimbabwe’s bowling attack, with Keegan Meth, Raymond Price and Prosper Utseya also expected to capture important wickets.
