The newly elected ZIFA Southern Region Chairman, Andrew Tapela has vowed to begin his four year term by mobilising resources for the growth of the Division 1 soccer league which is currently facing financial difficulties.

Speaking to ZBC’s Khulumani FM, Mr Tapela said his strategic plan for the football fraternity would be anchored on four pillars namely: resource mobilisation, capacity building, building partnerships and infrastructural development.

He added that they would kick start their four year term by conducting assessment tests for 16 football clubs in the division.

Other executive members who were elected over the weekend include Gaylord Madhunguza of ZPC Hwange who will deputise Tapela, Mehluli Thebe, Tizirayi Luphahla, Fizo Siziba and Bryton Malandule.
