ZIFA is set to appoint a new substantive Warriors coach by the end of the year.

This was revealed by ZIFA President, Dr Phillip Chiyangwa on the sidelines of the unveiling of a new southern region league flag at the ZIFA Bulawayo offices.

The Warriors have been under caretaker coaches, with Norman Mapeza in charge of the AFCON campaign while Sunday Chidzambwa took care of the CHAN and COSAFA competitions.

Dr Chiyangwa could not be drawn into revealing the identity and nationality of the coach but emphasised that they will be a new substantive gaffer by year end.

On the new corporate flag by the southern region, Dr Chiyangwa paid tribute to the region for setting the trend of corporate branding for other regions.

ZIFA Southern Region chairman, Musa Mandaza revealed that it was his board’s desire to ensure that they created a proper and professional image that could attract partners.

The ZIFA Southern Region that houses Bulawayo and Matabeleland North provinces indicated that the design of the flag revealed some of the wonders and attributes found in the area.
