ramson zhuwawo.jpgGunners Football Club is set to return to Premier Soccer League action without inspirational captain Ramson Zhuwawo, who is currently in South Africa, for trials with Vasco Da Gama and Moroka Swallows.

Having spent almost two weeks with Vasco Da Gama and featuring in their side which was thumped 4-1 by Tafadzwa Rusike’s Ajax Cape town on Thursday, Zhuwawo is believed to be contemplating also trying his luck at Moroka Swallows where he is expected to have a two week stay.

Gunners’ team manager Wellington Mpandare, who confirmed the developments, highlighted that ‘Chando Kupisa,’ as Gunners are affectionately known, will be without their inspirational captain when domestic premiership action again roars into life next week.

“Zhuwawo is currently away on trials in South Africa and will miss some of our games,” Mpandare said

Ramson Zhuwawo who scooped the 2009 Soccer Star of the Year Award is among a host of other players who have sought the route down South where clubs offer lucrative contracts.

Caps United has already lost six players to the ABSA premiership.
