The Zimbabwe Handball Federation (ZHF) held a three day coaching clinic at Queen Elizabeth and Girls High School in the capital, a move aimed at imparting relevant skills and knowledge to coaches and referees.

Instructor Moreways Changa said the sport of handball has become popular in schools hence the need to upgrade the level of coaches and referees.
For coaches Clifford Mutema and Sylvia Sigauke, the coaching clinic was an eye opener as it helped them understand the sport at a higher level.
Handball is a combination of basketball, soccer and netball.
It is played on a court about the size of two basketball courts.
The objective of the game is simply to score more goals than the other team.
