poaching.jpgZimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority has arrested 14 poachers countrywide as the authority’s zero tolerance to poaching intensifies.

The arrests include 8 Zambians who were arrested for fish poaching.

Parks and Wildlife Management Authority Public Relations Manager, Caroline Washayamoyo, confirmed the arrests, adding that an assortment of items were recovered.

She said items recovered include ammunition, vehicles, boats, engines, fish nets, cellphones, ivory, fish and game meat, among others.

Washayamoyo however warned would-be poachers that they risk entering any parks estate at their own peril.

The poachers were arrested in Matusadonha and Ngezi Recreational Paks.
