The 2017 charity fundraising amateur golf tournament organised by Musha Mukadzi and the Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) was held at Borrowdale Brooke this afternoon with several participants taking to the course.

Borrowdale Brooke Golf Course once again played host to the annual golf extravaganza organised by the ZDF in conjunction with Musha Mukadzi, a Zimbabwe armed forces foundation.

gen_chiwenga.jpgZDF Commander, General Constantino Nyikadzino Guvheya Chiwenga was delighted with the continued existence of an event which aims to raise funds towards charity.

Chief of the South Africa National Defence Force, General Solly Shoke and Malawi deputy commander, Lieutenant General Clement Namangale applauded an initiative which highlights the important role of thee defence forces in giving back to the community.

This year’s charity fundraising initiative is running under the theme, ‘Championing Pro-active and Re-active Approaches in Fighting Against Cancer’.

Apart from guests invited from other defence forces several players from the corporate world took part at the fifth edition held on Saturday (today).
