The national broadcaster, ZBC is positioning itself to become the prime hub for content, with wheels already in motion to ensure all citizens are reached with quality programming.

Speaking after a tour of the ZBC studios at Montrose and exhibition stand at ZITF, ZBC CEO, Mr Patrick Mavhura revealed that the national broadcaster is gearing up for the finalisation of the digitalisation project that will see the corporation running six television channels.

He also indicated that it was his organisation’s vision to reach out to all audiences through the promotion of all artists and their different genres as evidenced by the setting up of Khulumani FM and national language bulletins in Bulawayo.

Committee Chairperson for Content Creation and ZBC board member, Mrs Joyce Jenje Makwenda said the direction the national broadcaster is taking will see the institution growing in leaps and bounds.

ZBC last month introduced a local commercial radio station, Khulumani FM that broadcasts in Bulawayo and surrounding areas and the station has been well received by listeners.
