chinono lilian.jpgThe late ZBC Radio Presenter, Lilian Chin’ono, who died on Saturday, has been laid to rest at Warren Hills Cemetery in Harare.

The late Chin’ono has established herself as a household name among radio listeners and is famously known for presenting ZBC National FM programme, ‘Bvunzai Tete.’ 

Mourners who gathered at a funeral service at the Trinity Methodist Church in Harare described her as a quiet and selfless lady who dedicated most of her time to advising young couples on issues to do with relationships.

Her relatives said the family had lost a leader and a pillar of strength in the family.

Those who worked with the late broadcaster, described her as a hardworking woman who was always eager to impart constructive ideas to followers of her programme, Bvunzai Tete.

“Lilian was an excellent broadcaster with a lot of talent that will always be missed by all radio listeners,” said Clifford Baloyi.

Lilian Chin’ono joined ZBC in 1983 as a producer/ presenter.

At the time of her death, she was presenting the programme Bvunzai Tete on National FM on a part time basis.

She is survived by daughter, Memory Nechena, 4 grand children and 2 great grand children.
