Family spokesperson, Tinashe Chiyangwa said his brother died on Wednesday at his homestead at Juru Growth Point after suffering from meningitis.

He said the death of his brother is a huge loss to the family as he was a humble man and a unifier who helped keep the family together, saying the gap he has left will be difficult to fill.

Chiyangwa joined ZBC in March 2007 as a driver and was promoted to Executive Driver for the General Manager News and Current Affairs in June last year, a position he held until the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife Precious, and two children Rufaro and Panashe.

Mourners are gathered at the Chiyangwa homestead, Msungate Village, Juru Growth Point in Goromonzi.

Chiyangwa will be buried at 10am on Friday in Juru.
