The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) top management and board have signed a code of ethics that shall guide the way they do business in line with government’s corporate governance initiative with employees urged to have a culture of working hard for the good of the company.

The signing ceremony was held in Bulawayo where the board was introduced to the ZBC’s new substantive executive management.

The new executive management which started work on the 1st of this month are Mr Tazzen Mandizvidza who assumed the position of Director News and Current Affairs, Mr Robson Mhandu – Director Productions and Television Services, Mrs Benania Shumba – Director Human Resources and Administration and Mr Farai Zisengwe – Director Finance and Licensing.

Addressing the meeting, ZBC board chairman Father Gibson Munyoro said the code of ethics shall guide the way management and board do business while stressing that through hard work and commitment, increasing the company’s revenue is feasible for the public broadcaster.

ZBC CEO Mr Patrick Mavhura said the recapitalisation process the public broadcaster has been carrying out since 2014 is beginning to yield some positive results as the national broadcaster is becoming a multimedia platform.

The ZBC management has employed a number of business strategies in running the affairs of the organisation.
