Zanu PF youths have been urged to enter into the race for seats in the harmonised elections set for this year.
With the 2018 harmonised elections around the corner, Zanu PF Deputy Secretary for Youths Affairs Cde Lewis Matutu told youths from Mashonaland East at an inter-district meeting at Dema Growth Point that they should not hesitate to go into parliamentary and local government elections so that they get into leadership positions.
Zanu PF Youth League national political commissar Cde Godfrey Tsenengamu said the league will campaign for its members during primary elections and is also ready to work with the women’s league.
Mashonaland East youth league chairperson Cde Kelvin Mutsvairo said youths in the province are ready for the harmonised elections.
Of the 23 constituencies in Mashonaland East, none is held by a member of the youth league.
