Zanu PF youths say the world should not be deceived by the country’s former president Robert Mugabe’s attention seeking stunts saying his interview with mainly the foreign media was marred by unprecedented lies meant to tarnish the image of the new establishment.
Addressing scores of students at Elangeni Training Centre in Bulawayo yesterday during the launch of the #EDHASMYVOTE campaign to the grassroots, Zanu PF Youth League Secretary for Administration Cde Tendai Chirau said the league was shocked by the deceiving utterances by the former statesman which lacked factual basis.
During the course of last week, Zimbabwe’s former president Mugabe went for his first televised interview with foreign press where he made several unsubstantiated allegations which have been described by observers as desperate politicking remarks.
On the #EDHASMYVOTE campaign, Zanu PF Youth League Bulawayo provincial chairperson Cde Khumbulani Mpofu said the operation is gaining momentum amongst the youths in Bulawayo.
The #EDHASMYVOTE campaign is a Zanu PF Youth League initiative that is meant to draw youths to the social media platform to discuss on issues around the progress being made by President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s administration.
