The Zanu PF Youth League has appointed a National Preparatory Committee (NPC) which will recruit a delegation of youths and mobilise resources to attend the world 19th edition of the World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY), to be held in October in Russia.

The Zanu PF national youth secretary, Cde Kudzai Chipanga has appointed Deputy Minister of Tourism and Hospitality, Cde Anastancia Ndlovu as chairperson of NPC Zimbabwe.

WFDY is an international youth organisation recognised by the United Nations as an anti-imperialist left wing organisation.

Also present at the meeting was the Minister of Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Development, Cde Patrick Zhuwao who pledged his support to ensure the youth attend the Russia festival in solidarity of anti-imperialist stance by Zimbabwe and other allied forces.

In her remarks after being appointed, Cde Ndlovu pledged to embark on a massive youth mobilisation drive to organise a delegation of 150 youths and students who will attend the Russia youth festival.

The 19th edition of the World Festival of Youth and Students will be under the slogan, ‘Peace, Solidarity, Justice, We Struggle Against Imperialism – Honour Our Past, We Build the Future’.
