Zanu PF National Political Commissar, Retired Lieutenant General Engelbert Rugeje says the harmonised elections scheduled for the 30th of July is an opportunity for Zimbabweans to show the world its greatest asset of being peaceful and united.
This comes as the countdown to the harmonised elections continues with aspiring candidates taking their message to the electorate.
Speaking in Gokwe – Nembudziya today, Retired Lieutenant General Engelbert Rugeje re-emphasied the call for peace and tolerance among the electorate.
Alongside the party’s candidate for the National Assembly, Justice Mayor Wadyajena, Retired Lieutenant General Rugeje said these elections offer an opportunity for Zimbabwe to show the world her commitment to democracy that guarantees freedom for citizens.
He urged the electorate in Gokwe Nembudziya to rally behind the party’s candidate, Wadyajena, whom he described as a hardworking legislator.
Wadyajena has been spearheading various empowerment projects for women and youths as well as infrastructural projects in the constituency.
