The Zanu PF Women’s League has scaled up women empowerment drive through training programmes to equip women with chicken rearing training skills with 30 000 chicks having been availed by the First Lady Dr Grace Mugabe for all the country’s ten provinces with each province receiving three thousand birds.
Four administrative districts came together in Mutare, Manicaland Province for the chicken rearing training programme.
Addressing the delegates during the training programme, Zanu PF National Secretary for Administration in the Women’s League, Cde Letina Undenge said the economic empowerment programme will transform and elevate women to become key economic actors.
Turning to the 2018 harmonised elections Cde Undenge said Zanu PF Presidential candidate Cde Robert Mugabe will march into office after humiliating all the opposition parties.
The Zanu PF Women’s League chairperson for Manicaland, Cde Esteri Muyambo-Madhuku said women in Manicaland are solidly behind President Mugabe and the First Lady Amai Mugabe.
Beneficiaries appreciated the empowerment programme and promised never to disappoint the First Lady.
Under the able leadership of the First Lady, the Zanu PF Women’s League has embarked on empowerment trajectory to economically empower women to become active players in the mainstream economy.
