The meeting’s agenda was a continuation of issues not covered at last week’s gathering which gave COPAC two weeks to complete reviewing the draft constitution.

Speaking to ZBC News, Zanu PF Secretary for Information and Publicity, Cde Rugare Gumbo said the meeting examined the state of the party, companies and mobilisation of resources.

“We also discussed the issue of financial mobilisation for the party. We have a number of party companies which we expect to assist in the mobilisation process,” he said.

Cde Gumbo also highlighted that Zanu PF was ready to go for polls this year.

“We are indeed prepared for elections and we will mobilise resources to prepare the party for elections,” said Cde Gumbo.

Commenting on recent utterances by South African Minister of Foreign Affairs that Zimbabwe should not go for elections this year, Cde Gumbo said President Zuma is the only SADC facilitator.
