Winning candidates in the Masvingo Zanu PF primary elections have been urged to intensify their campaigns as the party prepares for the general elections.

This came out during a Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) meeting attended by both winning and losing candidates of the party’s primary elections over the weekend.

Zanu PF Chief Whip, Cde Lovemore Matuke urged the winners not to relax as they still have a huge task ahead of them.

“It is now time to work, don’t relax simply because you won the primaries. Let us come up with a strong organ that will make sure we win the elections. Work even harder and make sure you deliver,” he said.

The party’s provincial chairperson, Cde Ezra Chadzamira said both winning and losing candidates will be on the ground as they start holding rallies across the province.

“We are ready for the campaign trail. The winning and losing candidates should now be united in these campaigns for the good of the party,” he said.

Districts in the province were also handed over vehicles which will be used in the campaigns and the province is confident of victory in all the 26 constituencies.
