The race to win primary elections continues with candidates in Chipinge East constituency campaigning peacefully and selling out their constituency development plans to the electorate together, a development that is testimony to the growth of democracy within the ruling Zanu PF party and the country.

Four candidates vying to represent Chipinge East in the House of Assembly said they are happy with the plan to move together campaigning as the move gives the electorate a chance to compare and select the best candidate.

Chipinge East Member of Parliament, Dr Win Mlambo appealed to the electorate to vote for him saying the projects he implemented in the constituency bears testimony to his able leadership while other three candidates that are Chipo Museri, Enock Dongo and Paul Chinyokoto pledged to implement different developmental projects if elected into power with Museri urging other women to vote for her.

The peaceful campaigns being done in Chipinge East constituency are a replica of the activities in other constituencies in the district and have shown maturity on the part of Zanu PF politicians and the electorate as well as the growth of Zimbabwean democracy.
