The 308th Ordinary Session of the Zanu PF politburo is underway at the party headquarters in Harare this Wednesday afternoon.

The politburo meeting takes place on the backdrop of the demonstrations of the Women’s League against the Deputy Secretary Cde Eunice Sandi Moyo and Secretary for Finance Cde Sarah Mahoka and that held against National Political Commissar Cde Saviour Kasukuwere.

Sources close to the meeting said the meeting will receive a report from the Commissariat and an update on preparations for this year’ s ZITF at which the party will be exhibiting.

The premier trade showcase will be held under the theme: ‘Offering Innovative Strategies for Sustainable Development’.

The meeting is also expected to get an update on ZIM ASSET where the issue of food security has seen the introduction of the Command Agriculture programme where a bumper harvest is expected.

Cde Kasukuwere against whom demonstrations were held in some provinces this week, is also in attendance.

It is not yet clear whether the issues of the demos will be discussed as it has to be forwarded by the provincial structures.
