The Zanu PF leadership has been urged to identify with the people and to articulate the achievements made by the revolutionary party since independence in order to consolidate support.
This was said by Zanu PF Politburo member, Cde James Gumpo while speaking at a leadership development workshop held at Siakobvu in Kariba district this weekend.
“It is only Zanu PF that has people-oriented programmes which are aimed at alleviating poverty and misery that was brought by the illegal sanctions imposed by the West,†Cde Gumpo said.
The thrust of the workshop which involved 14 party districts in Kariba was to equip district leaders with leadership qualities and ethics, party history and achievements since independence, indigenisation and empowerment as well as mass mobilisation strategies.
On the same occasion, Zanu PF National Political Commissar, Cde Webster Shamu, donated a bicycle to 10 of the districts for use in mass mobilisation and party organisation.
