The Zanu-PF National Secretary for the Commissariat, Cde Webster Shamu, has urged the party leadership and supporters to understand the party ideology and the constitution in order to carry further the revolutionary spirit.Â
Addressing Zanu-PFâ€™s provincial leadership in Mutare, Cde Shamu said Zanu-PF is now fulfilling the election manifesto of 100 % total empowerment so that Zimbabweans can take charge of their economic destiny.Â
The National Secretary for the Commissariat who took back memory lane and read part of the speech which was delivered by the First Secretary of Zanu-Pf, President Robert Mugabe in 1988 said, political independence is not enough until it leads to economic independence.Â
He said youths must be a critical vanguard in the struggle towards economic independence as they are the future leaders of tomorrow.
Cde Shamu was accompanied by his Deputy, Cde Ephraim Masawi, National Secretary for Indigenisation and Empowerment, Cde Saviour Kasukuwere, among others.
