The Zanu PF Midlands youth executive says it has activated all party structures and set up eight committees to supervise preparations for the Presidential Interface rally scheduled for end of August in the province.

As the Midlands Province gears up for the youth interface rally with the President the provincial youth executive and other stakeholders held their first meeting in Gweru where eight committees were set up in preparation for the rally to be hosted by the province by the end of August.

Zanu PF National Youth Secretary for external relations who is also the Deputy Minister for Tourism and Hospitality, Cde Annastacia Ndlovu urged the youth to work harmoniously so as to host a flawless interface rally.

Midlands provincial youth chairman, Cde Prosper Machando said there should be unity of purpose among organisers and stakeholders for the success of the interface rally.

After the meeting the youths toured Ascot Stadium and Mkoba open grounds, possible venues for the rally and opted for the Mkoba open grounds as the venue for the big event.

Provincial vice chairman, Cde Godwill Shiri  who also accompanied the youths on the tour of venues commended the youth executive for settling for Mkoba open grounds saying the province is one of the biggest and Ascot was too small to accommodate the bumper crowd expected to attend the interface rally.

President Robert Mugabe has so far visited five of the ten provinces and is scheduled to meet the youths at Phelandaba Stadium in Gwanda on the 12th of this month.
