Zanu PF Matabeleland South Province which boasts of having made a clean sweep in the last elections has been advised to mount a massive campaign to retain all the seats.
Addressing party leaders in Gwanda during the commissariat workshop on voter education and voter registration, Cde Saviour Kasukuwere said the province must prepare for the elections and work hard to retain all the seats.
Cde Kasukuwere went on to explain the different roles that the party and government officials play in the running of the province.
He advised that all party activities are under the leadership of the provincial chairman while government operations are delegated to ministries with the Minister of State playing a lead role.
Speaking at the same occasion Cde Simon Khaya Moyo the party Secretary for Information and Publicity said discipline is key in maintaining the dignity of the party reaffirming that only the party’ secretaries for information and publicity are the ones who issue statements to the media.
Cde Tshinga Dube a Politburo member informed the war veterans from the province that a new executive must be elected to lead them.
Deputy Secretary for Legal Affairs, Cde Paul Mangwana said all party members must register afresh as voters in readiness for next year’s elections.
Zanu PF has proclaimed that it is all systems go as they prepare for elections where they are aiming at retaining the mandate to continue governing.
