Zanu PF Masvingo Province says it can only win elections if supporters register to vote in the 2018 harmonised elections, with the party leadership saying they will be aggressively carrying out voter education in all corners of the province.
As the 2018 general elections are fast approaching, efforts are being made to ensure as many people register under the new biometric voter registration (BVR) system.
Zanu PF Masvingo Provincial leadership is holding meetings across the province, urging supporters to vote.
“This is the only way of ensuring that President Robert Mugabe stays in power as elections are a game of numbers,” said Cde Ezra Chadzamira, the party’s provincial chairperson.
Politburo member, Cde Josiah Hungwe encouraged the teams on the ground in the rural areas to work with the village leadership in the voter education process.
“Everyone is now a commissar. You must reach all areas encouraging people to register,” he added.
The election dates are yet to be announced.
