Zanu PF delegates drawn from Mashonaland West Province will be holding the Provincial Inter- District Conference beginning this Friday to Saturday at Banket Sports Club.
The Inter District Conference is a prelude to the party’s National People’s Conference to be held in Bulawayo in December.
Zanu PF Mashonaland West Acting Provincial Chairman, Cde Reuben Marumahoko says the 1071 delegates made up of the main board chairman, Women’s League and Youth League chairpersons from every district in the province are expected to converge at Banket Sports Club this Friday.
The conference will kick off the Women’s League elections to fill the Provincial Chairperson post, which fell vacant after the death of the late Cde Chiratidzo Gava.
The youth league will also be holding a parallel meeting at the same venue.
“Various issues including the indigenisation programme, the forthcoming agricultural season and the pending general elections are expected to come under the spotlight at the conference,†said Cde Marumahoko.
Cde Marumahoko said the district leadership will also be joined by central committee and politburo members from the province.
The provincial leadership will utilise the meeting to come up with recommendations that will be presented to the national leadership at the National People’s Conference.
