Zanu PF Mashonaland Central Province is targeting at least half a million members to register under the biometric voters registration (BVR) programme ahead of harmonised elections set for next year.
The target was set at the provincial inter-district meeting in Bindura.
The meeting was also meant to update members on the preparations and logistics for the extra-ordinary congress set for next week.
Zanu PF Mashonaland Central Provincial Chairman, Cde Kazembe Kazembe said the leadership must continue encouraging the electorate to register under the BVR process.
Zanu PF Politburo member, Cde Chen Chimutengwende urged party members to be united in the development of the revolutionary party.
The province has been allocated 10 buses to ferry members to Harare for the extra-ordinary congress.
Zanu PF is going to the extraordinary congress to endorse the nomination of President Emmerson Mnangagwa as the First Secretary and President of the party.
