The Zanu PF Manicaland provincial executive has intensified its provincial outreach programme to increase the party support base with focus on rolling out door-to-door campaigns soon.
This was revealed by the provincial chairman during the provincial council executive meeting.
In an interview after emerging from the provincial council executive meeting, Zanu PF Manicaland provincial chairman Dr Samuel Undenge said the province has completed the inter district meetings and focus is now directed at rolling out constituency based programmes.
He said the programmes will soon cascade to ward level before the rolling out the last phase of door-to-door campaigns.
Dr Undenge said while the restructuring exercise was progressing smoothly in other districts, he expressed concern over the slow pace in some districts and urged the party leadership to up their game.
He added that the province is confident of meeting the restructuring deadline.
Dr Undenge said the provincial leadership is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that the restructuring exercise brings desired results of rejuvenating and strengthening party structures ahead of the 2018 harmonised elections.
