Zanu PF Politburo member Retired Air Chief Marshall Perrance Shiri says the formation of new political parties ahead of harmonised elections must encourage the political leadership to work hard for a resounding victory.

Party members in Mashonaland Central Province have been urged to work extra hard as a way of shutting out any opposition political party in the forthcoming harmonised elections.

Retired Air Chief Marshall Shiri said this at a Provincial Coordinating Committee meeting.

Another Politburo member, Cde Munyaradzi Machacha, who is the principal of the Chitepo Ideological College, said election mobilisation teams must be in place from the polling station to provincial level to ascertain numbers of the revolutionary party’s supporters.

Zimbabwe is set to go for the polls this winter with over 80 political parties set to contest.

Zanu PF is already a gear up as the revolutionary party’s manifesto will be discussed this week while mobilisation is already underway for grassroots supporters.
