The ruling Zanu PF party has expressed satisfaction with the turnout registered in all districts in Harare Province for the on-going audit and verification exercise which commenced this weekend.
In Tafara 1 South and Amai Grace Mugabe districts in ward 20, Tafara Mabvuku constituency, Zanu PF supporters gathered to update their names on the party register, while new members were also being registered.
Zanu PF Harare Provincial Political Commissar, Cde Shadreck Mashayamombe, commended the revolutionary party’s supporters for the impressive turnout.
The verification exercise is being conducted countrywide to mobilise supporters and to strengthen party structures ahead of the 2018 harmonised election.
The whole exercise is expected to be complete by end of this month.
Cde Mashayamombe said in Harare Province, almost 70 percent of the wards and districts have indicated that they are almost through with the registration and verification process.
