The Zanu-PF Mashonaland Central Provincial leadership has moved in to assist in the reburial of fallen comrades who were exhumed at Chibondo Mine and have been lying in the open since March.

The party’s Provincial Chairman, Cde Dickson Mafios said the province has realized that it should move to assist the dire situation at Chibondo following the slow pace by the inclusive government in giving a decent burial to those exhumed after it took over from the Fallen Heroes Trust.

ZRP Commissioner General, Augustine Chihuri also gave support towards the programme by donating maize.

Fallen Heroes of Zimbabwe Trust Chairman, Cde George Rutanhire thanked the support they are getting from progressive forces in ensuring the process is completed.

The inclusive government took over the reburial of fallen comrades at Chibondo mine but the construction of the shrine has been moving at a slow pace which has been blamed on the lack of sincerity on the part of some parties in the inclusive government.
