Zanu PF Harare Province has urged local communities to support each other in times of need as the country is facing the biting effects of illegal western sanctions which are hurting the ordinary citizens.

The party’s Secretary for Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment, Cde Justice Zvandasara said Zimbabweans should support each other in times of need as they can no longer depend on the donor community in the face of illegal western sanctions imposed on the country.

He was speaking at a handover ceremony of wheel chairs, basic commodities and cash to the Muchairi family which was affected by the Mvurwi commuter accident which claimed the life of their 6 month old baby and left two other children disabled.

Zanu PF DCC 4 Chairman, Cde Jason Passadi said the party is committed to assisting local communities in times of need as it understands their day to day challenges.

Receiving the wheel chair, Cathrine Muchairi and her mother, Phillipa said there were grateful for the support, adding that  since the accident occurred, they were still faced with a huge hospital bill amounting to US$4 000.

The accident, which occurred on the 30th of July in Mvurwi, claimed 22 people who were going for a church meeting.
