The Minister of State for Harare Provincial Affairs, Cde Miriam Chikukwa says the metropolitan province is ready to host the Zanu PF Extra-Ordinary Congress scheduled for this Friday and preparations at the venue are progressing well.

Speaking to the ZBC News, Minister Chikukwa said the capital city and partners are working flat out to ensure the venue is ready in terms of water, ablution facilities and electricity to cater for the expected high number of people.

The congress will be held at the Robert Mugabe Square and will commence after the Politburo and Central Committee meetings to be held Wednesday and Thursday respectively. 6000 plus delegates are expected at this year’s special congress.
