The Zanu PF Masvingo provincial leadership says the party is poised for a landslide victory in the forthcoming elections.
This comes as the party has intensified campaigns for the general elections that are now just two weeks away.
The party’s provincial leadership this weekend descended on Chivi South to drum up support for Chivi South aspiring legislator, Killer Zivhu.
Zanu PF Central Committee member, Clemence Makwarimba, said they are expecting a landslide victory come July 30 and urged the electorate to go and cast their ballots in numbers.
“Don’t leave any registered voter at home, we don’t want to just win but to do it resoundingly,” he said.
Zanu PF also welcomed new members who defected from the MDC, with Masvingo Provincial Chairperson, Ezra Chadzamira saying the party is open to all who want to join a party with the people’s needs at heart.
“I was in the MDC with the likes of Chamisa and then realised that there is nothing there, that is why I have joined Zanu PF,” the new member, Lovemore Machanja said.
“The prodigal son will get his dues if he returns to his father’s house. These sons should show others still in the MDC the way,” said Chadzamira.
In their campaign trail, the Zanu PF officials continue to call for a peaceful environment, saying neither intra nor inter party violence will be tolerated.
